Overcome normal optical limitations in microscopic studies by highlighting specific structures with stains and reagents and then protect samples with fixatives. The fast-acting dyes create strong contrasts between cell components for easier detection or analyses. Sensitive attractions to certain organelle or cellular components differ among offered stains, allowing precise testing modifications. Flexible in use, ready-to-use stains may be handled manually or in conjunction with automatic equipment.

Description: High viscosity mounting media for cryotomy. Less viscous than O.C.T.
Catalog Number: 07111245.
UOM: 1 * 125 mL
Supplier: VWR Chemicals

Description: Araldite® is an epoxy resin commonly used for embedding. It is basically free from polymerization damage and the plastic does not sublime in the microscope, hence providing continual support and preservation of fine detail.[1] It is composed of araldite M or CY 212, dodecenyl succinic anhydride, dibutyl phthalate and 2,4,6-tridimethylamine methyl phenol.
Catalog Number: 10951-1L
UOM: 1 * 1 L
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY

Description: JB-4 is a water-soluble, GMA based, plastic resin kit intended for use in the preparation of embedded samples for high resolution light microscopy. It is a technique now widely used for research and clinical diagnosis. JB-4 yields semi-thin sections (0.5μ-2μ) with excellent morphological preservation.
Catalog Number: EM0100-1KT
UOM: 1 * 1 KIT
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY

Description: Epoxy embedding medium is generally used for biological tissues during study by electron microscopy. Usually, it consists of three components; Epon 812 resin, an anhydride hardener and an accelerator
Catalog Number: 45347-1L-F
UOM: 1 * 1 L
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY

Description: Hartman′s fixative, which is also known as Davidson′s Fixative, contains acetic acid, alcohol, and formalin. It is widely used for the preservation of eye, bone marrow, breast, testis, and other tissues for histologic examination

Description: Fluoroshield™ with PPD (p-phenylenediamine; 1,4-phenylenediamine) is an aqueous mounting medium for preserving fluorescence of tissue and cell smears.
Catalog Number: F6812-20ML
UOM: 1 * 20 mL
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY

Description: CC/mount is an aqueous based permanent mounting medium with a very high refractive index, which when applied to the stained tissue sections can store the tissue specimens permanently without the fading of the chromogens. Because of the superior refractive index of CC/mount, tissues mounted in this medium look like specimens mounted with organic based mounting media. No coverslipping is required with CC/mount. However, if coverslipping is required, dried CC/mount can be post mounted by using an organic based mounting medium. CC/mount permits the long-term storage of antigens localised using organic insoluble chromogen substrates, including AEC, DAB, Fast Red, BCIP/NBT, BCIP/INT and fluorescent dyes like FITC and phycobiliproteins. The high pH of CC/mount ensures increased stability of fluorescence intensity.
Catalog Number: C9368-30ML
UOM: 1 * 30 mL

Description: For use with Osteo-bed bone embedding kit. Solvent for removal of plastic from sections prior to rehydration and staining. Most histochemical and immunohistochemistry staining protocols require the removal of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and rehydration of mounted sections for improved stain penetration and greater contrast.
Catalog Number: O8639-4X500ML
UOM: 1 * 2.000 mL
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY

Description: The Epoxy Embedding Medium Kit is a very widely used embedding medium for electron microscopy. The embedding formulation originally published by Luft (1961) is excellent for both plant and animal tissues. Due to the low viscosity of the resin, it penetrates the tissue specimen faster than Araldite and other polymers. It hardens easily and uniformly at low temperatures with the addition of dodecenylsuccinic anhydride (DDSA), methyl nadic anhydride (MNA), and the accelerator 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol (DMP-30). Slight shrinkage may occur during curing. This kit is useful for embedding a variety of tissues as a wide range of hardness can be obtained with this resin to suit a specific tissue type by using two different anhydride curing agents (DDSA and MNA).
