Catalog Number: (C5548-100MG)
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY
Description: Clobetasone butyrate is a corticosteroid. It can be used as a diagnostic assay manufacturing, hematology, histology. Clobetasone butyrate has been used as an internal standard for the quantitative assay of clobetasol propionate. Clobetasone butyrate has been used to analyse its bio-concentration factor (BCF) in cyprinus carpio. Clobetasone butyrate is a potent topical corticosteroid and is primarily used to treat atopic dermatitis (AD). Low dosage of this drug is used to treat dry eye in sjogrens syndrome.

Supplier: Simport Scientific
Description: These cassettes are moulded from acetal and keep specimens safely submerged in liquid, and are resistant to the chemical action of most histological solvents.

Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY
Description: Glycerol alters the hygroscopic property of gelatin and its permeability to water vapour. Glycerol gelatin or glycerine jelly medium is an aqueous slide mounting media, used for mounting samples in microscopy and histology.

Catalog Number: (10047400.)
Supplier: VWR Chemicals
Description: Solvent replacement for cleaning instruments and equipments in contact with paraffin wax. Paraffin wax is used to prepare histological sections for microscopy, but it is very difficult to remove its residuals on microtomes and other laboratory surfaces. Clean-Lab has been created to make the removal of paraffin very easy and quick.
UOM: 1 * 100 mL

Supplier: Biotium
Description: CD15 plays a role in mediating phagocytosis, bactericidal activity, and chemotaxis. It is present on >95% of granulocytes including neutrophils and eosinophils and to a lesser degree on monocytes. In addition, CD15 is expressed in Reed-Sternberg cells and some epithelial cells. CD15 antibody is very useful in the identification of Hodgkin's disease. CD15 is occasionally expressed in large cell lymphomas of both B and T phenotypes which otherwise have a quite distinct histological appearance.

Catalog Number: (HT5011-1CS)
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY
Description: Formaldehyde is both a non-coagulant and an additive fixative. Formaldehyde is known to penetrate tissue quickly, but the fixation process may take a long time to form the various cross links with tissue proteins. Formalin fixation is thought to form cross links between the aldehydes and the proteins, creating a gel, thus retaining cellular constituents in their in vivo relationship. Once properly fixed, the tissue should be able to withstand the subsequent stages of tissue processing or staining. Although there is no true universal fixative, 10% neutral buffered formalin (NBF) is perhaps the most commonly used fixative throughout the world for light microscopy and is a somewhat forgiving fixative. Of the dozens and dozens of available fixatives, it is hard to imagine a fixative more commonly used than 10% NBF. 10% neutral buffered formalin is well suited for large throughput laboratories, and requires a relatively short period of fixation, but can also be used for the long-term storage of tissue.
UOM: 1 * 1 Each

Supplier: Biotium
Description: LSA120 MAb is directed against a lung cell antigen. It shows a well-defined reactivity with cells of the lung lineage at all stages of maturation. Non-lung lineages are negative by immuno-histology. Although the exact identity of its antigen has yet to be determined, it has been shown to be distinct from MOC-52 and UM-A9 proteins. This MAb is useful in the identification of normal and neoplastic human lung cells.
