Description: m-Endo broth detects total coliform bacteria (colonies with a greenish-gold sheen). For potable water samples, confirm with Lauryl Tryptose and brilliant green bile broth tubes. Samples that test positive for total coliform bacteria should be further analysed for the presence of faecal coliform or E. coli using EC Medium or EC Medium with MUG respectively.

Supplier: Sartorius
Description: These ready to use ampoules are pre-sterilised and contain a membrane filter and pad. They have been specially designed for performing microbiological analyses on pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and drink, water and other liquids. To be used with Biosart® 100 Monitors. When stored in appropriate conditions (4 °C), the medium has a shelf life of up to 12 months (except for Endo). The formula ensures optimum colony growth on membranes and complies with international standards, including International Pharmacopoeias, DIN and ISO standards, American Standards for Water and Foods, mineral water regulations and recommendations for the food and drink industry.

Supplier: Dr. Möller & Schmelz
Description: These sterile ready-to-use media are filled in autoclavable and break-proof polycarbonate bottles (50 and 250 ml). The composition of the various types of media, comply with the formulations specified in the pertinent standards and regulations. Whereas the liquid media can be used immediately, the agar media first have to be remelted in a water bath at 90 to 100 °C. Once they have cooled down to around 50 °C you can pour agar plates in different sizes and thicknesses to meet your individual demands.

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: This kit teaches aseptic handling techniques and cultivation of bacteria in liquid culture media and on solid phase agar plates. This kit is designed to educate students about the various stages of the bacterial growth cycle, i.e. lag, log or exponential, stationary and decline or death phases. The kit also teaches the importance of growing bacteria on solid phase agar plates to isolate single colonies of bacteria. This lab activity involves preparation of culture medium and solid agar plates.

Supplier: Dr. Möller & Schmelz
Description: Nutrient pad sets (NPS) are sterile dehydrated nutrient culture media that are ready for immediate use after addition of sterile water. They are made of biologically inert cellulose cardboard that serves as a substrate for the nutrient solution. Since it does not bind the nutrients either chemically or physically, the nutrient components are completely available for the growth of microorganisms. The composition of the various nutrient solutions used for the various NPS comply with the formulations specified in the relevant standards and regulations.

Description: These sterile ready-to-use media are filled in autoclavable and break-proof glass tubes (20 ml). The composition of the various types of media, comply with the formulations specified in the pertinent standards and regulations. Whereas the liquid media can be used immediately, the agar media first have to be remelted in a water bath at 90 to 100 °C. Once they have cooled down to around 50 °C they can be poured as agar plates in different sizes and thicknesses to meet individual demands.
Supplier: Cytiva (Formerly Pall Lab)
Description: PS dish, cellulose pad. Ideal for microbiological analysis when performing the membrane filter technique. Petri dishes with absorbent pads can be used with broth media, or users can pour agar into dishes without absorbent pads. Accepts 47 mm membrane filter.
Supplier: Shimadzu Diagnostics Europe
Description: Ready to use dehydrated film media in rigid plastic with lid for cultivating and counting microorganisms in food, for monitoring product quality and potential contamination. These plates can be used to test raw material as well as finished products. Microorganisms are identified by the colours that are developed by chromogenic substrates and redox indicators.
Supplier: Cytiva (Formerly Pall Lab)
Description: A wide variety of sterile ampoule media for common microbiological analyses, in clear glass or plastic ampoules. Supplied pre-measured for maximum efficiency and convenience. For public wastewater and drinking water: MF-Endo and M-FC (with and without rosolic acid for helping to increase the specificity of the medium for faecal coliforms) media are used when analysing water samples for total coliforms, faecal coliforms and E. coli. For food and beverage: M-TGE, HPC, M-Green YM, and orange serum broths are used in the food and beverage industry to QC final products (and fluids used in the manufacture of these products) to detect potential spoilage organisms. Trypticase soy broth, M-TGE, and HPC may be used to test final products and process waters for total bacteria in the pharmaceutical and microelectronics industries. Pseudomonas and KF-Streptococcal broths are highly selective media for organisms in these genera, and are used to monitor samples wherever contamination by these organisms must be prevented.

Supplier: Cytiva (Formerly Pall Lab)
Description: M-Endo broth is used for the estimation of coliform bacteria in water samples using the membrane filtration technique. It is possible to remove bacteria from fluids by passing them through filters with such small pore size that bacteria are arrested. This filtration technique enables fairly large volumes of water to pass rapidly under pressure, but prevents the passage of any bacteria present. These nutrients are retained on the surface of the membrane which is then brought into contact with suitable liquid nutrients. These diffuse upwards through the pores thereby inducing the organisms to grow as surface colonies which can be counted.
