Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Tube‐O‐Reactor™, Micro, for 20 to 250 µl samples or Medi for 0,2 to 2 ml samples.
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: The amine reactive HOOK™ Agarose Coupling Kit is designed for the simple and efficient coupling of proteins and peptides to a solid support. The kit allows the generation of both a stable and reusable column for the affinity purification of antibodies, proteins and other protein interacting biomolecules.

Catalog Number: (786-055)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Inhibitor of cysteine proteases & mammalian acetylcholinesterase
UOM: 1 * 5 g

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: GELPLATE-clean™ removes proteins, nucleic acids, fats, lipids, radioisotopes and other contaminants from electrophoresis gel plates. It is suitable for sequencing and protein electrophoresis gel plates.

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: The concentrator is a high molecular weight polymer which will not migrate across the dialysis membrane. The concentrator is placed against the dialysis membrane of the Tube-O-DIALYZER™, where it rapidly absorbs water from the sample and reduces the sample volume. The concentrator can be used with dialysis bags and other dialysis devices.

Catalog Number: (786-019)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Efficient™ Western Transfer Buffer (20X) achieves increased protein transfer efficiency. This ready-to-use transfer buffer is prepared for optimal conductivity and efficient protein transfer, without generating excessive heat or transfer distortion.
UOM: 1 * 1 L

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Prepacked purification columns for protein purification. Supplied in packs of five.

Catalog Number: (BE-416)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: The Hydrophobic Chromatography kit is designed to teach students the basic principle of hydrophobic chromatography utilising a hydrophobic enzyme. The use of the enzyme allows purification followed by a simple enzyme assay to detect the fractions that contain the enzyme. This lab activity involves preparation of a crude protein extract and running hydrophobic chromatography to isolate the enzyme.

Catalog Number: (BE-603)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Dialysis is a routinely used technique in research laboratories to 'change' the solution a biomolecule is dissolved in. Often the buffers used to isolate biomolecules, such as proteins, are not compatible with downstream applications due to high concentrations of reagents, such as salts. A sample is placed in a bag with a semi-permeable membrane and then placed in the new solution or water. Small molecules, such as salt, can pass through the membrane, moving from an area of high concentration to low concentration. The larger molecules, such as proteins, are retained in the bag. Microdialysis is a modification of dialysis to overcome the problem of dialysing small volumes of precious samples. Microdialysis uses small devices designed for small volumes. This kit allows students to study dialysis using patented microdialysis devices.

Catalog Number: (BE-406)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Using the Protein Electrophoresis kit, students will learn the principles of various types of electrophoresis, including denaturing and non-denaturing electrophoresis, and how this powerful technique is used to analyse proteins. The kit will introduce students to the different separation matrices currently in use and will understand their differing separation properties and their role in protein analysis. Students have an option of casting their own electrophoresis gels using polyacrylamide or using pre-cast commercially available gels. This kit is provided with all of the reagents, buffers and supplies needed for casting acrylamide gels, preparing protein samples, running electrophoresis, and staining the gels for visualisation of protein bands. Test protein samples and protein standards are also provided.

Catalog Number: (BE-409)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: In this lab activity, students learn to perform carefully controlled experiments to generate protein fragments using a proteolysis enzyme and then analyse the protein fragments by electrophoresis. By analysis of protein fragmentation patterns, i.e. protein fingerprints, students learn about protein sequence, structure, and their conservation. Students resolve a set of three functionally identical protein samples selected from throughout the animal kingdom; including human, bovine and sheep. After generating fingerprints by electrophoresis, students examine the protein fingerprint of each sample to determine the degree of conservation.

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Hexokinase 1(HK1) Homo sapiens Hexokinases phosphorylate glucose to produce glucose-6-phosphate, the first step in most glucose metabolism pathways. This gene encodes a ubiquitous form of hexokinase which localises to the outer membrane of mitochondria. Mutations in this gene have been associated with hemolytic anemia due to hexokinase deficiency. Alternative splicing of this gene results in several transcript variants which encode different isoforms, some of which are tissue-specific.

Catalog Number: (786-243)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Following digestion of proteins with proteases, the addition of Pep-Extract™ rapidly elutes digested peptides in under 20 minutes. The eluted peptides can be used directly in mass spectrometry analysis without any additional clean up. Contains sufficient for 500 protein spots.
UOM: 1 * 100 Tests

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: FOCUS™ Extraction Buffers are experimentally optimised concentrations of critical agents, buffering and stabilising agents, including urea, thiourea, Nonidet® P-40, CHAPS, and sulphobetaines (SB). They are designed to produce optimal protein extraction and improved spot resolution for 2D gel analysis.

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Trypsin is a serine endopeptidase that specifically cleaves peptide bonds on the carboxy side of s-aminoethyl cysteine, arginine and lysine residues and typically there is little or no cleavage at arginyl-proline and lysyl-proline bonds. The distribution of these residues in proteins allows trypsin digestion to produce peptides that are readily identified by mass spectrometry.

Catalog Number: (786-241A)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: InGel™ Array is a 96-well format kit suitable for processing larger numbers of protein spots concurrently and is compatible with spot-picking instruments. Fewer than 96 samples a batch may also be processed without any waste.
UOM: 1 * 1 KIT
